Obesity in Portugal
Obesity as an epidemic is reversible and can be kept under control through actions that get to the root of the problem and allow changes to be made to social, economic and environmental determinants.
The aim is to model a society in which a healthy lifestyle associated with a balanced diet and physical activity is the norm and in which healthy choices are more accessible and easier for the individual.
We all have to join forces and together develop and implement actions to combat obesity. Stimulating and encouraging children and young people to lead a healthier and more active life is everyone’s mission!
