Eating out is no longer an act reserved for special occasions!

More and more people are doing this frequently, whether it’s a quick meal at a café, lunch in a school cafeteria or at a restaurant.

The cafeteria/canteen at the school or company where you work, when available, may be a good option.
For a reduced price, it is possible to obtain a complete, balanced meal that is generally suitable for the target audience for which the establishment is intended.

Still, there are always changes we can make to improve our meals.

  • If there are several dishes available, choose the one with a healthier cooking method, (Grilled, Stewed, Boiled, Poached);
  • If there are several side dishes (for example rice and potatoes), order only one of them;

Recommendations for Healthy Eating should be followed on all eating occasions, regardless of where the food is consumed.

Small meals for morning and afternoon snacks are essential to avoid excessive hunger, achieving greater control when choosing meals.
