About our Factory

Our factory in Loures allows the company to respond to market demands, particularly in the production of pasteurised and frozen products.

With an initial investment of over €17 million, the main objective was to equip the company with modern technological resources capable of producing a wide range of products with the highest levels of food safety.

With a view to a more sustainable future, we continue to invest in reducing the impact of our operations on the environment and making our business more environmentally friendly.

Our products are marketed under the ‘Chef Saveur’ brand.
With a wide range of products, we can respond to all kinds of requests from our customers.

Currently, our scope of production focuses on our Chilled, Pasteurised and Deep-Frozen products.
Such as: – Soups; – Meat Dishes; – Fish Dishes; – Garnishes; – Macrobiotic Dishes; – Vegetarian/Vegan Dishes; among others.

Our factory

The Uniself factory, with a useful production area of 4,200m2, is located in the Arneiro Industrial Park in Loures and covers a total area of 12,000m2, with all the necessary conditions for food production.

During the design and construction of the project, the search for the best technological solutions available in the sector was a constant concern. Nothing was left to chance, from the equipment to the choice of materials and the definition of the circuits.
At every stage, there has been a constant concern to guarantee compliance with food safety standards, in strict accordance with the legislation in force.

We use excellent raw materials, and all our suppliers are pre-selected and constantly assessed.

With a strict traceability policy, all raw materials and packaging materials are checked on receipt. At this stage, an internal batch number is assigned which allows them to be identified throughout the chain.
Our final packaged product is also labelled using a barcode and contains all the mandatory information required by law.
The company has implemented an integrated management system covering four standards, namely NP EN ISO 9001 (Quality), NP EN ISO 22000 (Food Safety), NP EN ISO 14001 (Environment) and NP ISO 45001 (Health and Safety at Work).

Our Production Processes

Pasteurisation is an industrial process that extends the shelf life of the final product (depending on the product, the shelf life can vary between 16 and 30 days). This extended shelf life is a competitive advantage for our customers when it comes to managing their stocks. No additives, colourings or preservatives are added to the products throughout the production process. The food is prepared in the traditional way, which allows it to preserve its organoleptic and nutritional characteristics.

The deep-freezing process is a very fast cooling method, in an appropriate tunnel, where our final product has a shelf life of up to one year.
As with pasteurisation, no colourings or preservatives are added.
